ABOUT US
Alkira Wheelchair Services was born in early 2016, fulfilling the equipment servicing needs of many young people throughout Sydney and neighbouring NSW areas. Since our launch, we’ve also accommodated adult users and healthcare facilities, and they keep requesting Alkira Wheelchair Services back!Our team of experienced professionals is led by Andy who brings to the team years of experience in providing tailored mobility equipment solutions.Our friendly and accommodating team can service a wide selection of mobility and disability equipment.
GIVING SUPPORT TO CARERS AND HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS
We stock some spare parts and are constantly working on expanding our range and increasing our stock as there are so many variations to keep up with! Often a lot of work we do will be arranged through a service agreement if you are with NDIS. Otherwise we will do an assessment and provide a quote, either for you or your preferred funding body to approve. Parts required will be procured as quickly as possible to ensure minimal downtime.
GIVING ATTENTION TO USER’S NEEDS
A complete solution is provided! Often, a technician may be able to repair something on your child’s wheelchair for example, but if it happens to change a seating position in some way, they may not know how to rectify that. Rest assured, Alkira Wheelchair Services is proficient in seating special needs children correctly. Many parents and therapists will testify to the fact that when we leave a job, “I don’t know what he did, but she/he is sitting so much better!”….
WE COME TO YOU
We travel to schools often to perform repairs or adjustments to wheelchairs. This often works well for teachers, therapists, and parents, as the child doesn’t have to miss school and the facilities are excellent if a secondary seating system is required while the wheelchair is being worked on.
